Serge Subiron Takes Over the Helm of Qovoltis

Qovoltis, a leading player in smart charging for electric vehicles, announces the appointment of Serge Subiron as President.

Serge Subiron brings over 30 years of experience in technology, energy and digital services to Qovoltis. He recently led Jedlix, a European pioneer in smart charging and virtual power plants (VPPs), until it was acquired by Kraken (Octopus Energy Group) in 2024.

Serge Subiron is a recognized expert at European level in bidirectional charging and the decarbonization of residential equipment, in particular through his role as co-chair of the “Coalition of the Willing” dedicated to bi-directional charging in Europe and his role as President of the international Mercury consortium, launched in 2024 by Kraken and EPRI to standardize inter. Serge Subiron also assumed the role of President of the association. Think Smartgrids At the time of its creation in 2015.

Founded in 2019, Qovoltis has established itself as the leader in hospitality charging in France. The company has solid partnerships with leading hotel groups, including Louvre Hotels Group, including Louvre Hotels Group, Best Western, Groupe Logis, Valaé, Hotelio, as well as numerous Accor franchises. Qovoltis also deploys its solutions on other sites with high use value — Camp sites, golf courses, sports and medical centers —, according to a third-party investment model, in which it finances, operates infrastructures and markets electricity to end users.

At the same time, Qovoltis supports business fleets through a comprehensive offer of Charging-as-a-service, covering the entire value chain, from design to operation. More than 100 professional customers now trust the company, including ILIAD, Fnac Darty, Engie, Ista, Longchamp or Airwell, for charging that is easy to use, optimized in terms of energy and highly competitive. With 70 employees, Qovoltis raised 45 million euros in funds at the end of 2024 from Andera Partners, Epopée Gestion and Paris Moratoglou — Eren Group.
