Frequently asked questions
How long is the commitment?
The contract is for several years (10 to 15 years, depending on the sites). At its end, you have several options: renewal or recovery of the charging stations.
Who handles the maintenance of the charging stations?
We handle the operation and maintenance of the terminals throughout the contract term, at no cost to you.
How does the third-party investment offer work?
Qovoltis finances, installs, supervises, and maintains the charging stations. You provide a parking space and earn a commission on each charge.
How do I know if my golf course is eligible?
It's simple! Fill out our online form and our experts will contact you for a free, personalized analysis of your site.
What is the installation cost of a charging station for a golf course?
The price depends on the chosen model. With a self-funded investment, the installation cost ranges from €3,000 to €5,000 per charging station, plus a supervision subscription of €10 to €15 per month. With Qovoltis' third-party investment model, installation is free: Qovoltis covers all costs in exchange for a 5% to 10% commission on each charging session.
How many charging points should be installed at a golf club?
The LOM law sets a clear legal minimum: 1 charging point for every 20 parking spaces, including at least 1 accessible for disabled users. A golf course with 40 spaces must therefore provide a minimum of 2 charging points; with 80 spaces, 4 charging points.
For buildings with a building permit submitted after March 11, 2021, the requirement rises to 20% of spaces pre-equipped, with at least 1 operational charging point upon delivery. For more than 200 spaces, a minimum of 2 charging points, including 1 reserved for disabled users.
These thresholds are a minimum, not a target. In practice, a golf course that serves a growing electric vehicle clientele would benefit from exceeding these requirements: the share of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles in circulation now exceeds 19% of the French fleet.
Before any installation, Qovoltis conducts a free study to adapt the sizing to your parking lot, available power, and expected usage.

How long does a charging station installation take?
An installation requiring the creation of a new Enedis delivery point dedicated to charging stations takes approximately 18 weeks from the contract signing.
Are there specific grants for golf clubs?
Direct national grants will no longer be available in 2026. Some regions offer co-financing as part of sports development or sustainable tourism programs: inquire with your regional council. The Qovoltis third-party investment model remains the most direct solution: no upfront payment required.
How do I list my golf course on charging apps?
Qovoltis charging stations can be listed on Chargemap and other major platforms as soon as they are operational. Your club becomes visible to all EV drivers in your area, not just your members. This presence enhances the club's image.
